The most important thing you can do after any session is drink your water — aim for half your body weight in ounces daily. If you notice any detox symptoms, that is your invitation to drink more.
Depending on the modality you chose, it can continue working for 2-7 days after your session, so pay attention to what your body is telling you during that time. Follow its lead.
You may notice some or all of the following — and all of it is normal:
Urine color, frequency, bowel habits, color, and texture may change. You may feel tired — even that cartoon-hit-the-wall type of tired. You may feel emotional or a little PMS-y — this is simply that beachball of emotions you've been holding under the water finally getting to ride the waves instead. Let it. Or you may feel a calm, productive energy finally showing up for those things you've been putting off — not to the level of "bitchy cleaning", but simply finally doing the things.
Listen to your body. It knows what it's doing.
