inflammation

The real reason your inflammation won't go away (it's not what you think)

Hey, hey, my friend!

Can we talk about something that might make you a little uncomfortable?

Stress.

Stress is all around you. It seems like some days you are simply swimming in it…

However…did you know that stress is as addictive as nicotine?

Your body literally becomes addicted to the stress response.

That stress also creates cortisol…which creates inflammation.

That inflammation? It is the cause of almost all dis-ease you and your loved ones face.

But here's the kicker... your nervous system gets so used to this cortisol rush that it starts craving it…

Just like a smoker craves nicotine…

So even when life calms down, your body unconsciously looks for stress to get that familiar chemical hit.

Meanwhile, your immune system is getting hammered. Day after day.

This is why addressing the emotional roots of your physical symptoms is so crucial. It's not just about managing stress... it's about breaking the addiction cycle that's keeping you stuck in chronic inflammation.

I know, I know... you're probably thinking, "Vicki, stress isn't something I choose. Life just happens."

But here’s something simple you can do right now…

Take a deep breath and ask yourself: "Where in my life am I unconsciously creating or looking for stress?"

Maybe it's:
  • Saying yes when you mean no
  • Picking fights with loved ones
  • Procrastinating until you're in crisis mode
  • Checking the news or social media obsessively
  • Playing out worst-case scenarios in your mind

Here's the thing... your nervous system can't tell the difference between a real tiger and the "tiger" of your overflowing inbox, or your co-worker, or the traffic, or your spilled coffee…

What's the best that could happen if you started recognizing these patterns?

Your next step:

Notice your stress patterns this week. No judgment, just awareness.

And if you're ready to dive deeper into breaking this cycle, let's chat. I'm here to help you address the emotional roots behind your physical symptoms through holistic and spiritual healing modalities.

P.S. - Your body is not broken. It's just been stuck in survival mode. There's a difference... and there's hope.

Is it really *f l u* season or could it be...

Here we go, my friends!!

It's officially "Sugar Poisoning Season"!

Never heard of that?

Just consider this...

We have Halloween, Thanksgiving, Christmas (and all those holiday parties...), quickly followed by New Years, Valentine's Day, Easter...we could even add Mothers Day and Fathers Day...

And yet, we simply call it "f l u" season...

Cancer cells have more sugar receptors than healthy cells...

Not only does sugar feed cancer cells, it also shuts down your immune system for 7 hours after you consume it.

Check your ingredient labels to see how much sugar, or anything ending in -ose, is in what you are ingesting...does your immune system even stand a chance??

Higher blood pressure, inflammation, weight gain, diabetes, fatty liver disease, Alzheimer’s, depression, heart attack, stroke, headaches, irritability, fatigue, anxiety, bloating, hunger. Your brain shrinks. Your skin loses elasticity, making it look stiff...

Refined sugar is 99.4 to 99.7 percent pure calories, with no vitamins, minerals, fats, or proteins – just carbohydrates that spike blood sugar and affect your brain pathways like addictive drugs do…
Just sayin’…

is there really a "f l u" season??

I will let you sit with that for a little bit...

Then, when you are ready to detox your body and reduce that inflammation, let me know. I am here to help you take responsibility for your own health and healing through holistic and spiritual modalities leading to improved quality of life, inner peace and overall wellness.

Let me introduce myself!

Hey, hey, my friend!

I'm the sometimes overwhelmed wife of Dana, homeschooling momma of 11 and Mayme to 15, "expertly" spinning all the plates...until another plate, or two (or ten) get tossed into the chaos...or a plate that was plastic this morning suddenly turns into fine China...can you relate?

A recovering perfectionist giving myself grace to do B- work, make mistakes and maybe even look a bit foolish on rare occasions...

An introverted extrovert who firmly believes dark chocolate makes the world go 'round...(the darker the better because fewer kiddos want to share it with me...).

Everyone has a story leading to where they are today.  Mine started when I was a teen, struggling with migraines. I just dealt with them, not even questioning why. I just knew that a chocolate éclair from Dunkin Donuts wasn’t the right answer, nor was that Pepsi I loved so much…

For years I pushed myself through the days, gritting my teeth to bear the pain a little better, taking care of my littles, then crashing into a dark, quiet room to sleep the pain away.

I tried a few different things, but I didn’t start seeing improvement until I took a good look at what I was eating. I started slowly taking those toxins and additives out of my diet…MSG, artificial flavors, natural flavors, white sugar, enriched flour, fake sweeteners, artificial colors and those other "ingredients" I couldn’t pronounce.

Then I started looking at ingredients in our personal care and household products...that was an eye-opening adventure. If you think everything allowed to be sold in the stores is safe, we need to chat...

As I learned better, I did better and I completely swapped out all the toxic products in our home, keeping my family above the wellness line, helped balance our hormones, along with our emotions, even through birth trauma, loss, anxiety, a world-wide pandemic and more.

Continuing my journey, I am now a Licensed Holistic Practitioner, Licensed Spiritual Healer, Certified Raindrop Technique Specialist, and will be a Certified CARE Instructor this summer.

Knowing that friends are family we get to choose for ourselves, I am creating a thriving community of powerful, incredible, plate-spinning women. There is a seat for you at our table, where hearts are touched, souls are healed, walls are torn down, and best lives are lived on our way to wellness, purpose and abundance...guilt free. Come. Join us. Pull up a chair. Get comfy. Let's journey together.

What's the best that could happen?
